Sea Lily 12Lily couldn’t help but stare in awe at the brilliant aquatic beauty of the special room. The mermaids were perfect, yet lifelike, and it mystified her.  “What are you gaping at?” Lance wondered.  Lily averted her gaze. “How can you not admire how pretty it is in here, Lance?”  “I’ve been in here before,” he said quietly. “Many times before…” he said in a whisper.  Lily wondered what past he hid behind those dazzling eyes.  She started browsing through the books starting from the middle and working her way around. Beautiful artwork covered the page and formed an elaborate border.  “Your mother painted that.” Lance murmured.  Lily turned sharply in shock.  “WH-What?!” She stammered.  “Your father built this room. This place is a sanctuary for mermaids. I don’t know if you remember, but our parent’s funerals were here. We haven’t seen each other since. Heeeello. I found your shoujo hairstyle deviation up there. You /do/ know you're not suppose to upload what's not yours? Well, if you don't I'll tell you then. You could get busted by a lot of people if you don't really take that off. That book was copyrighted so by posting it up here... poor author. T.T

no problem. I also used that book. Found it a waste of $15. It's better to develop your own style than to copy other people's style.

Back then, I kept on looking into that book and was never satisfied cuz it never looked quite as beautful as it should have been like in the book. But now I'm developing my own style (chibis, anime, etc) and I found myself much happier with it.

Looking at it for reference and inspirations is fine (I do it too). But I always see to it that it has that signature style of mine (though I'm not quite sure what it is yet.... something that makes it so unique from the others).

Your works are great. Just keep it up! ^^
